The programme follows what you want to do

Every term the Explorers decide what we're chasing as a group. If you want a badge nobody else fancies, you can still work on it yourself and we'll sign it off.

Every term the Explorers decide what we're chasing. Camper, Climber, Paddle Sports, Emergency Aid, they all come out of things we were doing anyway.

Or go your own way

Fancy one nobody else does? Musician, Sailing, Hobbies, Money Skills. Work on it in your own time and we'll help you plan it and sign it off.

Staged badges keep going

Nights Away, Hikes Away, Emergency Aid and others come in numbered stages. You keep climbing them for as long as you keep at it.

Badge questions

Before you ask

No. Plenty of Explorers come for the camps and the kayaking and never sew a thing on. Badges are there if you want them.
Rare. The old requirements were tough, so an Explorer badge on a necker means something. That's rather the point of going for one.
You do. Every term the Explorers pick what they want from the programme, and the badges follow.
Yes. If it needs commitment outside Mondays, that's on you, but we'll help you plan it and sign it off.
Often, yes. Skills, Physical and Volunteering sections overlap with plenty of these badges. More about DofE with us.
